All those adverts!

Dear friends

Hope your all well during these cold months. This time of year I find myself hibernating at home and using the extra time for songwriting and practice. I’ll look forward to sharing new songs with you soon.

Me and my band have new videos to share with you. This one is about the constant bombardment of adverts we have all the time. You’ll hear some of the random specific things I get marketed with. What are these for you at the moment?

Though I do my best not to get drawn into adverts I’m not immune to those expert sales teams who sell me things. I’ve noticed a trend in very long detailed stories about a product with personal moving back stories about its creation. I’ve found myself getting swept along in a story and moved by relatable human experiences of struggles and the relief of finding a solution to the problem. That solution (a product) always leaves me with the question.. was that story real or was it made up?
