New Band
gigs and live recordings
Hi friends,
I hope you’re enjoying this beautiful autumn we have this year.
As you might have heard, I now have a new band – Laurie Shepherd and the Moonfires. This is a big deal for me and I absolutely love playing with these guys – Josh Green on drums/vocals and Jude Murphy on bass/vocals.
Jude is probably the busiest woman I know (unsurprising as everyone wants to be in a band with her) Josh, our drummer, conveniently lives a few doors down the street. Our kids are close friends and like to paint and dance and make a mess, sometimes mid-rehearsal.
This is us!
This past month has been a lovely one for us with one of our first gigs at Gosforth Civic Theatre supporting the amazing Sam Lee in a really gorgeous venue to a packed audience. It was great to finally play the songs were been working so hard on (thank you for your support and the amazing response from those of you who came)
Another exciting bit of news is that we now have live video recordings of three new songs, the first of which has been released, and you can see it here:
